MPEA Examiners
Volunteer Examiners are recruited each spring for the awards program and applications are accepted between April 1 and June 16, 2008. Examiners receive extensive training and experience in understanding and applying the Criteria for Performance Excellence, as they participate in Examiner Training sessions, assess an award application independently and as a member of a team, and learn how leading organizations achieve organizational excellence. In addition, examiners receive recognition from U. S. Senators Barbara Mikulski and Benjamin Cardin and the University of Maryland with letters, photos, and the opportunity to meet these leaders at the annual MPEA conference in the spring.
If you are interested in serving as an examiner, download the “Take the Challenge-Become an Examiner brochure below and learn more about the opportunity to help improve the performance of Maryland organizations and how to get started on turning your organization into a high-performing organization. Being an examiner is the very best way to learn the Criteria for Performance Excellence.
If you have questions, please contact the MPEA office at (301) 405-7173 or send an email to martys@umd.edu.
